There have been times in my life when I’ve been waiting on God to move, and He has said, “Wait,” or “Be still.” This is extremely difficult because I’ve been waiting on a specific answer from Him. I’m sure you’ve had the same experience at some point (or points!) in your walk with the Lord. Crystal shared a post about her own struggle with this – When the Hardest Grace is to Be Still.
Crystal’s schedule sounds very much like mine, and probably yours – busy days, to-do lists that seem endless, and yet God calls us to be still. She writes, “The truth is, in many situations, we can only do so much. Particularly when it involves people.” How true. It can be hard to separate what we need to do, from what our heart wants to do. It’s easy to get too wrapped up in things we want to do, and that can take away from the things we should do.
There is this great truth in Crystal’s post:
God longs for us to stay in a still, quiet and certain place of trusting because it’s where He does some of His best work…in US.
That’s such a good reminder to cling to, isn’t it?
How do you deal with those times when you’re waiting on God and He asks you to be still? I’ll tell you – those can be some difficult times to work through, but as Crystal shares, God is always faithful in those times!
I hope you’ll hop over to her post for some encouragement. If you are in a time of waiting, please know that we’re praying with you, asking for God’s very best for you.
