Hope for the Weary

Are you feeling weary? Perhaps the start of school and ministry schedules leave you wondering where your time has gone. Maybe it’s the start of a new season in your life and you are making the necessary adjustments, yet you struggle to find peace. I was encouraged as I read the post that Lois shared this week, offering hope for the weary.

The hope she shared is such a timely reminder that wherever we find ourselves today is not where we’ll be forever. It may seem like it, and we may not see a way out, but this season in our lives will pass.

She also reminds us that the situations we find ourselves in now may be preparing us for what’s to come. We can trust that God will use these times of trial and hardship to produce what we will need for the next season of life. And don’t you see that as you look back over your life? God has used the seasons of my life to prepare me for what He knew would be coming next.

I think you’ll find tremendous encouragement in the post Lois is sharing this week. Her final reminder is tremendous: God is still in the business of redemption, and your life is not exempt from His promises.”

  1. I need to remind myself often of God’s use of seasons in my life. It helps me relax into what He is doing, even when it feels uncomfortable. Seasons give us the permission to stop pushing toward something else.
