Praying Scripture for Your Children: A-Z Virtues

Praying scripture for our children is one of the most powerful things we can do as a parent. Fortunately, it is also one of the simplest.

Having scripture on hand to pray for my kids has increased both the quality and quantity of my prayers. I hope by sharing these scripture cards with you, yours can increase as well.

My son worked with me to select 26 virtues and corresponding scriptures to pray and together, we created printable prayer cards for each one. {A great summer alternative to i-pad, wink}.

I’ll be sharing each letter here on the blog as well as the printable for each prayer card for you to use in your personal prayer time. I hope these add to your own scripture stockpile of things to pray for your children. Below is the first virtue.

  1. Hi, Serendipitously I discovered your blog and thought the scripture alphabet cards would be fun for several young moms in our Bible study class. One of my joys is finding books, articles and now blogs and websites to help other Christian women in their walk and in whatever season of life they are enjoying…or finding challenging. Thank you and many blessings on you and yours.

    1. Hi Marcene! I’m thrilled to hear these prayer cards might help other moms! Thanks so much for sharing with others. I pray the Lord uses them to bless many families. AJ

      1. I simply love this idea! I shared it on my FB wall and tagged some of my mommy friends whom I know will love this idea as much as I do. Thank you!

  2. Hi, my children are grown adults (3 grandson’s) but I feel the need to pray for them all. This seems to be a good way for a spontaneous way for a mental brake to focus not only for my children but for me to connect with God.

    Thanking you,
