Many of us seem to have the same goal each December: to simplify life and enjoy some peace at Christmas. I’m sure that’s something we all need, as we seem to crave it each year. I don’t know about you, but no matter how hard I try to simplify things, it seems our schedule fills up in December. Between the kids, work, church, and other responsibilities, it’s hard to cut anything from our schedule.
I was blessed by Sarah’s post this week, where she shared a prayer for Christmas peace. Her combination of words and the style in which she wrote out the prayer grabbed my heart.
I appreciated the simple reminder of the truth that Jesus is the Prince of Peace. Naturally, to find peace, we need to spend time with Him – perhaps especially in December. Her prayer is truth that we can hide in our hearts, and serves as a reminder that time with the Lord can even be just a few moments, in the midst of our day, to pray and refocus on Him.
Thank you, Sarah, for sharing this beautiful post at Grace & Truth. May we all find peace at Christmas!
