How do you feel about the phrase “unconditional love”? As I first think through it, I’m filled with deep gratitude that Christ exhibits unconditional love to us. I’m thankful for the new mercies He gives us each day, and that His love is never-failing! However, I feel like I can fall short in loving others unconditionally. It’s so easy to get caught up in household chores and the never-ending to-do list. So how can I improve my ability to love unconditionally?
This week, Theresa shared a beautiful post with 11 tips to help us put unconditional love into practice. She starts with a reminder that unconditional love is a choice we make. A choice that we make. That’s not a new concept to us, I’m sure, but sometimes it’s the simple reminders that do me in.
Theresa’s tips are extremely helpful in walking us through small, simple actions we can take to love others. If you are taking time to put her post into practice, you could even try to implement one of these truths each day. Start with the first one, and build on to that each day. Her post is a wonderful encouragement as this is a time of new beginnings with school, church activities, and more.
As you look through Theresa’s list, is there one main point that jumps out for you to work on? Feel free to comment and let us know what one speaks to you!
