I remember reading the first time I read through the book of Numbers. I was bound and determined that I’d complete it, no matter what! But, it was a challenge to get through, and the first time I read through it was simply to say I’d completed the book. Whew! I didn’t really gain much from reading it because it simply didn’t seem exciting. As my understanding of God grew, though, so did my love for His Word.
Karen’s post starts with this sentence: “I must say, I am getting so much out of the Book of Numbers!”
Because of my own struggle through the book of Numbers, I was intrigued! I am always eager to hear what others get out of God’s Word, and reading through Karen’s post was a blessing.
Sometimes it takes effort to get into God’s Word, and very honestly, the book of Numbers can be a challenge.
But, when we take the time to make the effort of meeting with the Lord, and not giving up on those tough passages (or books) in the Bible, we often receive a beautiful treasure.
Karen’s post on God’s life-saving care, she shares some beautiful truths that she’s found by investing time in God’s Word, and specifically in the book of Numbers. She also shares the reminder that the death and resurrection of Jesus has given us direct access to Him.
I’d encourage you to take some time to be refreshed and reminded of the beautiful treasures buried in this book that can seem a challenge to read. Karen’s post was such an encouragement to me this week, and will be a blessing to you as well!
