Have you ever had a day where all you wanted to do was “get it together”? No matter how hard you try to get ahead, it just feels like you keep getting farther behind. Can you relate? I’m pretty sure every hand is going up right about now, including Ginger’s. Her post this week shares about her attempts at getting it all together – and then trying to keep it up.
She describes life with a full plate, as we can all relate to. But her encouragement to us, in the drive to get it all together, is very sweet. She shares,
This get-it-all-together living is all about how well we perform. It’s an exhausting work of the flesh to try and try and try and try to reach this undefinable get-it-together standard.
Wow! Are you nodding your head in agreement right now, too? Yes!
So if a get-it-together mentality requires a work of the flesh, we need to turn to God and ask Him to give us a heart to see His purpose in our lives, don’t we? We don’t need works of the flesh, we need a fresh reminder from God about who we are in Him, and that is what Ginger shares with us this week.
Be sure to stop by her post for some great encouragement! Thank you, Ginger, for linking up at Grace & Truth and for sharing this post with us! Feel free to grab the button below.
