It’s fall recipe week at #TheLoft!
Fall is my favorite time of year~ it’s sort of like an early new year. Change is in the air and I once again fall in love with cooking :) Which means my family falls in love with me again, ha!
My friend Cate shared her fabulous pumpkin spice latte. Her recipe is great for an iced latte. I have one I love because it’s what I call the lazy girl’s pumpkin spice latte. All you do is put the ingredients in the crock pot and cook for 2 hours. Really!
This recipe serves 8-10, so adjust as needed. Enjoy!
Lazy Girl’s Pumpkin Spice Latte:
6 cups milk
4-6 cups strong coffee
1/2 cup pumpkin puree
1/4 cup vanilla extract
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp pumpkin spice seasoning
3 cinnamon sticks
Instructions: Put all ingredients in the crockpot and cook on high for 2 hours. You can top with whipped cream but it’s great without it. Super easy and it makes your home smell delish!
And just because I love pumpkin, here’s a recipe for Pumpkin spice balls that is yum as well:
Pumpkin Spice Balls:
1 box Spice cake mix
1 can pumpkin
1/2 cup walnuts
1 8oz package cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions: Mix cake mix according to recipe, except only use one egg; stir in the pumpkin and walnuts; bake according to directions.
Meanwhile, cream together the cream cheese and sugar.
When cake is done, crumble it using a fork and stir in the cream cheese mixture. Mix well, then shape into balls. They will be very soft and yummy! You can dip them in white or dark chocolate, dust with powdered sugar, or just eat them as is.
