One of our goals here at arabahjoy.com is to provide practical AND biblical resources for living the Christian life. It isn’t enough to KNOW the truth… we have to DO it. We are passionate about growing together in Christ and providing tools that will help us be doers of the word and not hearers only.
With that in mind, we’ve done many 40-Day Prayer Challenges over the years and this year, we are bringing back one of our favorites… but this time with a twist! You are invited to jump in and discover how life transforming the next 40 days can be as you pray God’s word specifically over your children! Keep reading for all the juicy details! 😉
40 Promises to Pray Over Your Kids
If you’ve never done one of our challenges, each of our 40-day prayer challenges is rooted in II Corinthians 1:20 which says, “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.”
We believe this verse teaches we should:
- consciously know and understand the promises of God
- regularly bathe our minds in the promises of God
- deliberately give verbal affirmation to the promises of God.
For these reasons, we have deliberately selected 40 SCRIPTURE PROMISES to pray over your kids as this is one of the most powerful things you can pray!
How it works:
Doing the challenge is simple: We challenge you to pray ONE scripture promise a day for 40 days. To help you get started, we provide you with 40 Bible promises to use as you pray God’s word for your children. Then we watch as God transforms our families and lives!
Why you should join us:
We believe Scripture teaches knowing and giving verbal affirmation to the promises of God is an important spiritual discipline that results in Christ-likeness in our lives. We also believe praying God’s word never returns void in the lives of our children! It aids in personal spiritual growth for both them and us, enhances our spiritual senses and discernment, decreases worry and anxiety, and trains us to see all of life through the lens of God’s character. This simple spiritual discipline guards against spiritual anemia.
II Peter 1:4 says, “By which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them (the promises!) you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.”
As you can see, this one small daily investment of praying the promises of God reaps huge spiritual dividends!
We invite you to join our Praying the Promises for your Children Challenge by grabbing our BRAND NEW Praying the Promises Mother’s Legacy prayer journal right here!
