Have you ever been blessed by the faith of a child manifested through their words or actions? Their faith can be a tremendous encouragement to us. I often consider what it is to have child-like faith – a faith that believes in God’s goodness as strongly as it believes that a parent will provide the next meal.
Last week Elizabeth shared a post in which she asked her daughter to pray for her. Her daughter responded with questions to try to understand a little better. I loved reading that Elizabeth shared a little more; she didn’t brush off her daughter’s questions, but took time to share with her.
Not only did her daughter pray for her, she wrote out Scripture and reasons that those passages were important in her life. What a blessing to see the faith of this sweet girl, and how that impacted her mother.
What a challenge to us, too! How often do we say we’re going to pray for someone and offer up a quick prayer as we remember? What if we asked a few more questions, like Elizabeth’s daughter did, and provided some encouragement in the form of Scripture as we pray over them? What a blessing this could be in someone else’s life!
Stop by Elizabeth’s blog to read more and to be encouraged. We can take a lot from these Scriptures for our lives!
Thank you, Elizabeth, for linking up with us at Grace & Truth! And a big thank you to your daughter as well!
