When it comes to Bible journaling, you may envision beautiful colors and artistic designs. As you’ll discover in today’s post, however, Bible journaling can simply be taking up pen and paper and jotting down study notes. Below you’ll find 4 templates for you to use in Bible journaling.

The writer of Hebrews tells us the Word of God is “alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12).

So how do we put that amazing power to work in our hearts? How can we take what’s in the Word of God and apply it into the edges and crevices of our souls?

My recommendation? Bible Journaling.

Many Christians flip their Bible open to a random page, read a little, get lost without context, feel frustrated and overwhelmed, and give up.

The devil WANTS you to feel like you’re in over your head.

Bible Journaling can strengthen your faith and make your walk with God more intimate, engaging, and fruitful. There’s lots of Bible Study and Bible Journaling printables on the internet that can help you find the perfect tool for you and/or your Women’s ministry group.

Bible Journaling forces you to think critically about what you’re reading, helps you retain information more efficiently, and shows you the progress you’re bound to make in your spiritual life.

So. You can purchase a journaling Bible, or a study Bible, or simply use a notebook for your Bible journaling. If you’re like me and you’d rather not purchase a separate journaling Bible, or you are looking for a little direction in just how to get started, check out our round up of Bible journaling posts.
