Best Mother’s Day Gift Ideas
If you’re like me, you’re looking for just the right Mother’s Day gift for mom. We could all give flowers or chocolate (and let’s be honest, it’s hard not to like that!) but I prefer thoughtful gifts that carry meaning.
Below are some of my favorite ideas for Mother’s Day gifts, but they are also great for sisters, friends, and daughters when you are looking for something special!
Hint: Graduation is right around the corner too!
I’m an avid note taker and scribbler so journals of any sort make me happy. When I received this one as a gift last month, I fell in love. Pair it with these markers and some fun washi tape, and you’ve got the perfect gift bundle for mom.
Recently I started using an index card system for my prayer time and I LOVE it! Having a beautiful box to store my prayer cards in would be lovely. Oh yeah, we’re talking about gifts for my mom, not me, lol. So my mom actually does have lots of recipe cards stuffed into a too-small box. She would love this beauty.
I love this mother- daughter gift! The Friendship Ball is an English tradition. The ball opens and you can place small gifts, candy, candles, jewelry, etc. inside. Mother and daughter swap the ball back and forth for years. This gift keeps on giving and only gets better as the years go by.
Bella Electric Spiralizer
Okay, so this one is on my wish list :) This spiralizer turns just about any long veggie into noodles! Carrots, cucumbers, zucchini, eggplant. My family loves zoodles (zucchini noodles) and this sure would come in handy! Just sayin’.
I love Amazon’s newest Kindle because it’s linked to Audible. One word: audiobooks. Yassss! Plus the color is sweet.
A Deep Cleaning Session
Did you know Amazon has home services you can gift to your mom? Or use for yourself, heh. This could be life changing! You could schedule a cleaning before a big party or just give mom a day off. Brilliant! They even bring their own supplies so it’s truly as simple as pay and clean. Someone tell my hubs, please? :)
Amazon’s Grocery Delivery Service
Speaking of Amazon services, did you know they also do grocery delivery? Something else for all our wish lists!
Magnolia Table: A Collection of Recipes for Gathering
For all the Joanna Gaines fans, this brand new recipe book is a must. With beautiful photos, this cookbook illustrates 125 recipes from her new restaraunt, The Magnolia Table. What mom wouldn’t love this!?
Vornado Vintage Fan
So this one is a cool Mother’s Day gift. If your mom likes to sleep with a fan (i.e. takes a fan with her on summer trips) or gets hot in the kitchen, this stylish fan will be her new best friend.
Conversations with My Mother: A Keepsake Journal for Celebrating a Lifetime of Stories
I happened upon this while searching for unique gift ideas. Love, love, love! It provides many questions to ask your mom (think discussions you always wanted but never knew how to ask) to explore her past and thoughts. This would be a perfect pair with a special cup of tea (below).
Special Tea Cup
Life is not always easy and sometimes we need some perspective. Drawing aside for a cup of tea in a special cup can be perfect for renewing the mind and gaining some much needed perspective. Another must-do mother- daughter tradition if you ask me.
Complimentary 5 Piece Gift Set from Grove Pantry
I’ve used Grove for a couple years and appreciate both the green products and the hassle free auto ship. The complimentary welcome 5 piece gift set includes dish soap, a scrubber sponge, laundry detergent, hand cream, and spray bottle.
GreenAir SpaVapor Aromatherapy Diffuser
Give mom a way to bring the spa home with this diffuser. I have this exact one and enjoy it daily. Of course you’ll need an essential oils starter kit of safe, pure oils so don’t forget those!
Now it’s your turn! Share your ideas for what to get mom for Mother’s Day in the comments!
I love the ideas on here. Especially the “tea” one and the friendship ball. I like to DIY a lot. Most times I get in over my head trying to DIY. However, this year I am TRYING to put together a “spa basket” for my mother in law. Some things inside it will have to be purchased (ex. spa robe), but some things I want to make. I looked up “DIY Spa Basket” on pinterest and from there I got some ideas of what to put IN the basket. Then I found recipes on pinterest for lip balm, hand salve, lotion, soap and all kinds of fun stuff. I already have a nice collection of essential oils. So I am hoping to go with a “relax” theme and use lavender, chamomile and other relaxing oils in the things I make. Hoping this turns out ok. DIY can be fun, but it can also be an epic fail…hahaha. We shall see.
