Is fasting a part of your plan for spiritual growth? Do you find that you have more questions than answers when it comes to fasting? That’s a common issue among many of us – we know we should fast, but why? How does it benefit us? This week, Kelly tackled some of those questions in her post about the 7 Benefits of Biblical Fasting.
She shares about her personal experience with fasting, and how God had to work in her heart to increase her understanding about fasting. Not only is her post full of Scriptural reasons to fast, but she shares when to fast, types of fasts, tips for those who are fasting, and benefits of fasting.
I’m interested to know if you have fasted, what have you fasted? Was it food? A non-food item as Kelly describes in her post? How did the fast impact your spiritual life?
I’d love to hear your thoughts on fasting – whether it’s your struggles or how God is using it in your life.
Be sure to read Kelly’s post as I think it will be a blessing to you. Let’s be praying together about how we can effectively use this spiritual discipline to grow in our relationship with the Lord.
