How often have we prayed specifically for one thing, only to see God do so much more than just answer our one request? So many times He takes us on a faith journey rather than simply answering our request. He could easily give us what we’re asking, but then how would our faith grow? This week, Kela shared a post about living a surrendered life, where we ask for what we need, but we open our hands for God’s very best.
Kela shared personally from her life about how praying for her needs turned into a time of questioning, wondering what God’s plan was, and needing to accept His plan. She told of her journey through surrender, and that although we often view surrender as “giving up”, that’s not actually the case.
If surrender isn’t “giving up”, then what is it? Be sure to visit Kela’s post this week as she gives us such a beautiful insight into surrender. I think you’ll find her perspective to be thoughtful and comforting in times where we struggle to understand God’s call to surrender. Take a few minutes to read about her journey through surrender, and the confidence that she’s finding in the Lord!
