10 Habits
{Click for a beautiful printable copy of the 10 Habits, designed by our dear friend Stephanie!}
1. Thank before Think
Before the covers roll back, before feet hit the floor…before it all rushes in and threatens to take you under… thank God for who He is.
2. Bring It!
As you swing legs out of bed, tell your circumstances and your emotions they aren’t in charge. As you place your feet on the floor, bring your faith toe to toe with your day.
3. Practice Your A-B-C’s
While pulling pants on and pushing arms through sleeves…while showering and dressing…while making your bed and brushing your morning teeth…practice your A-B-C’s.
Couple this practice with an existing daily habit and see if God’s character doesn’t begin to shape your life!
4. Plant Seeds
Each day determine your three things. Keep moving. Take baby steps and do not despise the small things because God LOVES the small. He will cause a growth beyond your imaginings.
5. Set Markers
Break your day down into do-able chunks. A wall is built brick by brick, section by section. Give yourself plenty of opportunities for small victories.
When you cross one finish line (an hour? A meal?), celebrate! Then start again.
And remember, you are a SEAL in training!
6. Visualize
When you visualize yourself succeeding, your brain is activated in the same way as actually doing it. You are setting yourself up to win when you visualize.
7. Speak aloud
Speak “I CAN” and “I WILL” statements. Here are a few to get you started:
“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
“I am well able to overcome.”
“I will trust that God’s grace is sufficient for me in these, my circumstances.”
8. Fight Fear
Remember friend, you have weapons and they will not fail you! Use your weapons of power…love…and a sound mind.
9. Tuck Cards
…into purses, Bibles, pockets, cubbards. Review, Renew, Memorize!
10. Get. Back. Up!
Failure is not the opposite of success. The righteous man falls 7 times and rises again. So be righteous! :)
{The opposite of success is defeat and it is impossible for God’s children to be defeated~ He has already won on our behalf!}
So take a deep breath. Go ahead, deep breath! Everything is okay! There is grace to get back up. To start again. His mercies are new every single morning!
And this bit of beauty to wrap everything together, to be a voice and friend when we can’t be there in person?
Our friend Amy has created this beautiful bracelet, handmade and gift wrapped with much love. A friendly reminder to keep believing, keep pressing on, keep believing, keep living.
“Tie these words as symbols on your hands” Deuteronomy 6:8
Oh, let’s do and not forget? All year long? It’d be a delight to know you are wearing yours too!

I am sorry to learn about the many emails that persecute you and your ministry. Each morning I look forward to your inspiring, godly emails. While we know opposition is bound to come who boldly build the kingdom of God, it still deeply hurts… Phil 3: 8-12 ( especially if it’s other believers. They squelch the Holy Spirit in their own lives and leave unbelievers another reason to question Christianity. Your ministry spiritually grows, inspires me, encourages me, challenges me, and influences me. Due to your ministry, I am a better Christian Life Coach along with my other roles. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this encouragement Heidi. It blessed my heart reading it. Thank you. AJ
