This week’s featured post really jumped out at me. I don’t know about you, but I feel like things are constantly in flux. I know many of us have been through a lot of changes this year. Sometimes just keeping up with the day to day can be exhausting. Caring for our bodies – eating well, exercising, good rest – are all important in juggling the demands of everyday life.
In this week’s post, Valerie shares about that, but takes it deeper, to apply to our spiritual life as well. Are we spiritually fit? Do we put in the same discipline and determination to strengthen our soul, our spiritual life, as we do to care for our physical body?
By sharing some important passages in Scripture and some valuable tips and resources, Valerie reminds us that while physical health and well-being are important, we must be disciplined in strengthening our spiritual life and walk with the Lord. She challenges us with this question:
When you honestly evaluate your spiritual fitness,
have you become satisfied with your perceived level of intensity?
Wow! As Christians, there is always more to learn. There is always room to grow in our relationship with the Lord. Let’s not be content to just be comfortable in our relationship with the Lord. Head over to Valerie’s post for some motivation to dig deeper, to push ahead in your spiritual walk. Thank you for this challenge, Valerie! Feel free to grab the featured button.
