Around the dinner table this week, we prayed for Kim Davis.
We prayed for a nation who targets those who would stand for righteousness.
We prayed for candidates who know how to sell and market themselves… and for constituencies who will be bought and sold on lies.
We prayed for the truth of Christ to permeate hearts and for an army of Christians to awake from slumber, rise to the calling, and fulfill our task.
As Sarah Ann shares, Christians are the most silenced group…
…but we can still be persuasive. We can still be salt.
Because aroma wafts wherever the wind blows, and don’t forget it.
We are the aroma of Christ and that wind? It’s ablowin’.
It can go where guns can’t. It can travel behind bars. It can blow into courtrooms and schoolhouses and country farms and city townhalls and neighborhoods.
It can be sweet and welcoming. Or it can be a stench. But as Sarah Ann writes, “May we as Christians not be afraid of hatred or condemnation, and continue to stand firm on the foundations of God, regardless of the cost and sacrifice.”
Amen. Christian, stand firm on your foundation. And never forget you are the aroma of Christ.
