As those who long to put God first, daily surrendering control of our lives and asking Him to guide our paths is essential. Regardless of how uncertain I feel, Scriptures of guidance remind me to relinquish my hopes and dreams back to Him. God will be faithful to direct my steps and lead the way accordingly.

Morning Scripture Prayers for Strength

If I’m honest, I know the day before me will bring struggles and moments of strife. However, with God by my side, I don’t have to live in fear of the future.  I can rest assured that the King of Kings provides strength in my weakness and encouragement for the journey ahead.

“Look to the Lord and his strength: seek His face always.” Psalm 105: 4

“I lift my eyes to the hills, where does my help come from?  My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” Psalm 12: 1-2

“Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.” James 1:12

Morning Verses for Hope

When all hope seems lost and the storm seems too big, I cling to the Lord as my compass and one true north.  It’s in His holy presence where we have hope for the future.  Therefore, our confidence can lie in Him alone, and not on the state of our circumstances.

“I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope.” Psalm 130:5

“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid… Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. ” Hebrews 13: 6,8

“I have set the Lord always before. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” Psalm 16:8

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

“Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:11

Morning Scriptures of Praise

Lastly, before the to-do list begins and I’m swamped with responsibilities, I praise Him with every fiber of my being. We can praise Him for who He is: Creator, Savior, and friend.  Also, we can praise Him for what He has done.

“The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.” Psalm 103:8

“Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.” Psalm 36:5

“The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is he.”  Deuteronomy 32:4

“Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:29

“I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders.  I will be glad and rejoice in you.  I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.” Psalm 9: 1-2

    1. Hi Susan! We don’t have this one on Kindle but we do have it in PDF form (which can then be sent to Kindle). The reason is that this is more of a journal than a book (so having a printed version or PDF is preferable). If you’d like the PDF, it can be found in our shop at http://www.arabahjoystore.com Hope it’s a blessing to you!

  2. Thank you Arabah. These are definitely words and verses to meditate on each morning. I look forward to doing so, as I have begun starting each day with thanks to God and reading his word.

  4. Hello,
Thanks for the scripture references. I did notice one incorrect scripture though going through them this morning. Under the Gratitude section, the last scripture should reference 1 Corinthians 15:57, not 1 Corinthians 16:8. I was looking for a contact page to let you know but couldn’t find one.

Again, thanks for the scripture references. Much appreciated.

  5. Thank you so much for the insight
I will also plead that you join me in prayer for I am in a distress and only God can save.
    Thank you
